An experienced, active Border Collie home is being sought for Cody who is the most endearing puppy who was returned to me in February due to personal reasons.  Cody has been extremely well socialised, well trained (which is ongoing), is full of exuberance, a very kind & loving puppy who just loves having his tummy tickled.  The saying "the tail wags the dog" is so true of Cody, I should have called him "Full Body Wag" as his tail really does!!

Cody would excel in any sphere whether obedience, agility, flyball etc.  Cody is very quick to learn & has sailed through the puppy training classes including his KC Canine Good Citizenship & is now working Novice.

Cody is crate & house trained, is used to living with another dog as well as with my other dog's all in the home (loose in the kitchen & not crated).

Cody loves to play whether it's with the other dog's or by himself, he can regularly be watched racing around the garden with the football in his mouth!!  Like his Mum Abbie, Cody loves the ball!!

Although Cody's training is coming on very well, you will still need to register with a local training club (one who uses only kind training methods & with a trainer registered with the APDT) so that his training can continue.  It will also be helpful to you & your developing bond.

Cody needs to have a job to do whether it's agility, flyball etc as well as plenty of exercise including mental stimulation with training & games, so a dog sports home is being sought.

I must add that Cody is very much a "man's dog" which is interesting seeing as from being a baby puppy his main carer's (myself & his previous owner) are both women.  So as well as an active home, preference will be given to a male handler.

Cody is a good size dog who has a lot of coat!!  Cody enjoys being groomed & will join his Granny Emma in waiting for his turn!!  Cody also enjoys being blow dried after a bath which comes in very handy when needing to get him dry!!  (You know, those wet winter days where more than a towel is needed to dry him off or he's rolled in something unsavoury that requires a bath!!)

Puppies from Abbie's first litter are all doing well in their chosen fields; the show ring, obedience, agility, flyball & Cani-X as well as making wonderful, easy to live with companions in the home.

Cody is second generation raw reared & it would be preferred that any new owner would continue to keep to a natural diet (kibble, regardless of fancy packaging, is NOT natural!!).  Raw feeding is extremely easy & is far superior to any other food you can feed.  The results speak for themselves with greater health resulting in next to no trips to the Vets with an added bonus of less poo's!!  I will give advice on raw feeding to any new owner along with a very easy to follow diet sheet.  Preference will be given to any possible new owner prepared to continue with raw feeding.
(For those who really can't deal with handling raw food then the next best alternative is either Arden Grange Partners or Naturediet which are both cooked versions that come ready to serve with Natural Choice Holistic Wholebake)

If you are interested in giving Cody a new home then please contact me in the first instance telling me about yourself, your family, home, garden, lifestyle & what you would hope to do with Cody (ie, agility etc).  No full time workers, children under the age of 12 or first time Border Collie owners.  Any possible new home will be vetted.

I will post some more photo's soon.
